I also almost constantly have a song in my head. Right now it's the "Mambo" song from West Side Story. I have no idea how it got there. Sometimes I can figure out why I'm singing a particular song, but it's usually a stupid reason. I probably saw something that rhymes with mambo, like a bag of Combos or...something else that rhymes with mambo. Sometimes I can ID the trigger and sometimes I can't, but I've pretty much always got one up there.

I have a few "go-to" songs that I don't hate that for whatever reason stick well in my brain, for deployment in the event that a horrible horrible earworm gets stuck in there, which happens fairly often. I actually stopped setting my alarm to a music station, because it seems my brain is extra susceptible in the morning or something, because whatever shitty song I'd hear waking up would often be in my head all day. Now I wake up to WBUR instead.

Group outing to see the new Harold and Kumar?

I've already seen it. It's not witty, nor is it smart, but I promise it will make you laugh.

Hehehe -- I KNEW I'd seen that somewhere before, Johanna!

And Ben, clearly the only way to solve this issue is by ending your entries with nasty rap songs.

THE ONLY WAY.

I'm finding the same problem with my blog: I always feel the need to end it with some gradiose statement. Otherwise it seems to lack closure or something. How can I break this habit?
